I came across this amazing animations recently and thought you may love them too.
W?adys?aw was born in Russia in 1882 his parents were Polish and he spend his life in Lithuania and France. He started doing animation in 1910. His stag beetle fight is the firs animation with a narrative ever made and seriously not many modern animators can beat him in my opinion. He did it using dead beetles and some form of glue and wire. That's crazy! Most of his characters are animals and he tends to use dead bodies for that. His films were aimed at children at the time. Here are examples from you tube:
